Starting an online business could be a complete nightmare at the beginning, especially when you do a search for a term like “Home Based Business” on a search engine and the search results surpass the 20,000,000 mark. 3. Building an opt-in email list

These three business models are the ones being used by every single internet guru I know and it’s simply because they work tremendously, the earning potential is unlimited and just to give you an example, I’ve been able to make a few thousand dollars by just sending one email, yes and it only took me about ten minutes to write it. This is how powerful this is.

Let’s talk about Google Adsense first, this one’s a great opportunity simply because you don’t need a penny to start, it may sound a little far-fetched but it’s true no money out of pocket is needed to start making money. There is no simpler way of making money online than this one, all you have to do is to place a simple piece of code in your blog or your web page, that piece of code will display Google ads to the viewers and when somebody clicks on the ads you make money. That’s it, nothing else has to be done, you don’t have to do any selling, customer service or anything else.

The way this works is simple, the only thing you’re going to need is a blog or a website, if you don’t have either one don’t worry I’ll show you how to create a blog in less than 10 minutes and it’s absolutely free. Once you have a blog or a website you write a little bit of content or you can simply borrow it and don’t worry I will also show you how to use other people’s articles at no cost to you.

So after you have a blog and it has some content you’ll need to sign up for an Adsense account at Google.com, it’s simple just fill out the application form and they’ll contact you within a couple of days regarding the application. Once you’re approved you can start displaying their ads in you blog and when the ads get clicked on you get paid. It’s that simple, nothing else needs to be done.

Let’s talk about Affiliate Marketing.

What is affiliate marketing?

Affiliate marketing is a method of promoting web businesses (merchants/advertisers) in which an affiliate (publisher) is rewarded for every visitor, subscriber, customer, and/or sale provided through his/her efforts. Thousands of online businesses offer affiliate programs you can join to for free. All you have to do is to send people to their website and when somebody buys a product you make money. The more people you get to visit the site and buy products the more money you make.

I can honestly say that I have made a small fortune with affiliate marketing alone and even though I have spent money in advertising, I have also been able to generate a lot of free traffic and turn it into 100% profit. This is the beauty of this business, whether you have money for advertising or not there are ways of generating free traffic that you can easily turn into profit especially for those of you who don’t have a lot of money to spend.

Last but not least Building an opt-in email list

This is the best long term, cash on demand business you should have and in fact I strongly suggest you to combine these three business models to create an extremely profitable online business. But let me tell you what building an opt-in email list means and how it actually works. When a website visitor comes to your site or blog and reads what you have to say, at some point he’ll leave your site. Now the chances of that visitor coming back to your site are slim to none and it’s simply because there are millions of sites out there and most people just move onto the next site without bookmarking the sites they like.

So how do you actually take those visitors and turn them into potential customers that will keep coming to your site and buying products and services you recommend?

By opting-in to your email list thru an autoresponder box. You get them to give you their name and email address so you can provide them with more information via email. But how can you make money with names and emails?

When people sign up to your list not only will you be able to get them to come back to your site but you’ll also be able to build trust with these people. The more people you have in your list the more money you’ll be able to make on the long run.

The best thing about this is that once you have a large number of subscribers you can make money on demand, by just simply sending one email promoting a product or a service you could easily make thousands of dollars and this is all without having to pay dime for advertising.
