What A PPC Campaign Is And Why You Should Start Using It.

PPC stands for pay per click and it’s a way of advertising provided mostly by search engines. The way it works is very simple, you create ads and choose keywords which are words or phrases related to your product, when people search for those words your ad will be displayed in the search results and you only pay when someone clicks on your ad, not when your ad is displayed.

This is the easiest, most targeted and fastest way to drive traffic to any site, you could start driving traffic in just 15 minutes, but the most important aspect about a PPC campaign is that you have absolute control over it. You see there are hundreds of different ways of driving free traffic but you can’t really rely on them because they’re free. One month you could receive 10,000 visitors from free traffic and the next month you could get only 10.

Not with pay per click, with ppc your ads will continue to run day in and day out bringing you a steady flow of traffic for as long as you want. You can specify how much you want to spend a day or the maximum you want to spend when someone clicks on your ad. It’s predictable, targeted and profitable if handled correctly.

This should be the #1 method of driving traffic to your affiliate products or your own business simply because you can count on it. But before you go and set up a campaign at any search engine I suggest you to stick to the big boys first, Google and Yahoo search marketing and for one reason only - They provide you with real traffic.

Often times marketers trying to save a buck or two start advertising in places with low reputation and end up throwing their money away on low quality clicks. Most of these places don’t even have a click fraud detection system that would protect marketers against click fraud. Google and Yahoo really look out for their marketers delivering the most value out of every click.
