Serious Bank Account Scam, You Could Be At Risk Of Losing It All

I have pronounced email to be the #1 source scam artists use to commit their crimes and when I say crime I don’t mean losing your money over a “Get Rich Quick” scam I mean stuff that can get you in real trouble. I want to talk to you about an email I received recently and if I wasn’t paying attention I could’ve easily given all of my money away to a complete stranger.

The email I will show you below is supposedly from my bank (Bank Of America) but keep in mind that regardless of the bank you use this could happened to anyone.

The email is basically saying that someone has been trying to access my account online and for security purposes my account has been locked. They also mention that in order to restore online access I needed to click on the link provided in the email and supposedly login to my account.

This is the email:

Now at first glance everything looks fine, looks like the real deal but let’s see what happens when you click on the link shown in the email.

You’re taken to a page that looks identical to the real bank with a sign in box where you need to type your ID and password. This is where they get you, if you’re not paying attention and type in the information, their system will save it in their archives and guess what the next step is, they’ll visit your bank’s website, login to your account and take out every single penny you have. And that’s not all, before they leave they’ll try to obtain as much private information about you as they can and change your password so you can’t access your account delaying the whole investigation process so it becomes harder to track them down.

I’m telling you these scam artists become smarter and smarter faster than you can imagine and they do not take days off. It’s only a matter of time before innocent hardworking people fall into these land mines that are placed all over the internet and lose all their hard earned money.

One thing you should always remember is that banks or places that deal with your money will never ask you to provide them with private information thru an email and in the event that they do need private information from you they’ll contact you over the phone or they won’t contact you at all. Another thing, once your account has been locked up the only way to restore it is by contacting a customer support representative over the phone and not by visiting some phony website asking for your login information.

I hope this article makes you aware of what people can do to take your money and prevent you from a future loss.
